A Christmas I Wont Forget

Well, tonight a celebrated a wonderful event! Christmas with my half brother, his wife and their 2 beautiful girls! It was a wonderous event because I just reconnected with him in August. The last time I saw him was at a family reunion on my fathers (aka sperm donors) side of the family. Let me tell you about that one! Noone knew he even had a daughter! I was 21 years old when I met him for the first time. And get this....we lived in the same city the whole time!! Not only that but I stayed the night with my aunt (his sister) numerous times as I was growing up! This particular brother stayed the night there with me a couple of times but I dont think I knew he was my brother at the time. Anyway, so I went to the family reunion a few months later and met my other half brother. (BTW, the first half brother I spoke of is only 9 DAYS younger then my, so needless to say our father was getting busy!) My other brother is a couple of years older. So, at the end of the family reunion, the last thing my grandparents and aunt said to me was "it was good seeing you. We will have to do this in another couple of years (because that is how often they have the family reunions)." OK...so that tells me that they dont want to see me until then....and keep in mind, they also live in the same city as me! So I was a bit upset, infuriated, hurt....and didnt talk much to my father after that. I really wanted to see what he was like and who I looked like. I have had a DAD since I was 9 months old, so I wasnt looking for another one. So, 7 years goes by and it finally dawns on me that I should look my brothers up on my myspace! Low and behold, I found both of them, and one of them lives within a few miles from me! Last I had heard he lived about 4 hours away!

So, since then, we talk regularly and I have grown to love them and it feels like we have known eachother a lot longer then 4 months! So, last night was our first Christmas together ever!!!! (well, with my younger brother....my older brother's wife decided they didnt want to do Christmas with us but that we would probably see them in January....WHATEVER). It was a memory I wont forget and I am VERY thankful to have them in my life!!!

Funny's for the day

Here are some jokes to put a smile on your face!!

Why's of Men

1.WHY DO MEN BECOME SMARTER DURING SEX?(because they are plugged into a genius)

2.WHY DON'T WOMEN BLINK DURING SEX?(they don't have enough time)

3.WHY DOES IT TAKE 1 MILLION SPERM TO FERTILIZE ONE EGG?(they don't stop to ask directions)

4.WHY DO MEN SNORE WHEN THEY LIE ON THEIR BACKS?(because their balls fall over their butt-hole and they vapor lock)(You're laughing, aren't you?!?!)

5.WHY WERE MEN GIVEN LARGER BRAINS THAN DOGS?(so they won't hump women's legs at cocktails parties)

6.WHY DID GOD MAKE MEN BEFORE WOMEN?(you need a rough draft before you make a final copy)

7.HOW MANY MEN DOES IT TAKE TO PUT A TOILET SEAT DOWN?(don't know.....it never happened)( C'mon guys, we laugh at your blonde jokes!)

And the personal favorite:
8.WHY DID GOD PUT MEN ON EARTH?(because a vibrator can't mow the lawn)

Remember, if you haven't got a smile on your face and laughter in your heart...Then you are just an old sour fart !

Have a great weekend!

3 days til Thanksgiving

Wow! I remembered to say what I am thankful for today........I am thankful for my job. I am an Assistant Coordinator at a group home for people with developmental disabilities. I have been there 11 years and dont forsee myself leaving anytime soon. I am also pretty sure I have job security there, as the clients I serve aren't all of sudden going to not need assistance any more! Have a great day!

OOPS!!

It was brought to my attention that I didnt say what I was thankful for yesterday, so I will say 2 today. 1) I am thankful for my stepkids. As much as they can be a pain in the butt sometimes, I love them like they are my own and wish for only the best for them! 2) I am thankful for my well-behaved pooch Sassy. She is a 2 year old 60 pound yellow lab that thinks she is a lap dog. She can be left at home for hours at a time and be waiting for us at the front door when we come home! THE CUTEST DOG EVER!! This isn't the best pic of her, but I couldnt find the others. They were riding in the back of my SUV on the way back from the beach! The black lab is Roxy. She was hit by a truck in July and didnt make it :( It has been a blessing in disguise though, because she was VERY HYPER and the two of them together caused trouble! WE MISS HER DEARLY! Anyway, I have kind of gotten off subject. HAPPY SUNDAY!

HOT LUMPY FUN

Well, one week until Thanksgiving! YEAH!! I am so excited because this is the first year we are having Thanksgiving at our house! And, my first year making a turkey! I have had lots of pointers on how to and how not to cook the turkey. I am not looking forward to gutting it out! THAT GROSSES ME OUT!!! I don't even like to cut raw chicken! I will leave that to my darling husband or my mom! I love having a small family...we will only have 6-9 people here, which is just perfect. We will make food, eat food, and play games! SO MUCH FUN!! Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving. Every day until Thanksgiving I am going to say one thing I am thankful for. Today, I am thankful for an understanding husband that puts up with my moodiness! I LOVE YOU!!

*BTW, the title has nothing to do with this blog. We were playing Apples to Apples with the kids yesterday, and the cards my husband won were "hot" "lumpy" and "fun"*

Happy Halloween

The fall...my favorite time of the year. Mostly because of Halloween! My favorite Holiday of the year! I love decorating for Halloween. Each year after Halloween I buy more goodies to decorate with! I host the annual Halloween Bash, as Jormengrund told all of you (but it went a little differently then he stated mind you). I love helping the kids pick out costumes and taking them trick or treating! Today, we are taking the oldest to a church overnighter. Then off to dinner with the two younger kids. It will be their choice where to go, but I am sure they will pick McDonalds! Yum, Yum! Then we have to make the rounds to all of the relatives and friends. Then off to my newly found brother's house to go door to door with my nieces! (I will talk more about that family another day!) So, it is going to be a late night, and a hyper couple of weeks, as the kids will be hounding me every day for some of their candy. That is if Dad doesnt get to it all first!! HAPPY HALLOWEEN and BE SAFE!!
